Going ashore on Koh Larn's beaches
Koh Larn, also called Coral Island, is the island most people see first from Pattaya. On a private yacht you reach it with your own group, at the time you booked.
The yacht does not run up onto the beach. If you want to go ashore, a small boat takes you from the yacht to the island. This transfer is not included in the charter price. Tell us when you book and we will check it for your date.
If you would rather stay on board, the time at Koh Larn is yours to spend on the yacht.
Trip times from each pier
Every Koh Larn programme follows the same order: leave the pier, stop to fish and make sashimi, Koh Larn, then Koh Sak, then back to the pier. Times below are the fixed programme times. The captain can change the plan in bad weather.

Koh Larn trips from Ocean Marina are full day only. The pier ticket is 80 THB per person and is not included.
- On every programme the first stop is for fishing and sashimi. Simple hooks are on board, and the equipment is different on each boat.
- Koh Sak comes after Koh Larn. The programme there is eating, swimming off the back of the boat and stand up paddle boarding.
- Afternoon and full day trips come back in time for sunset photos on the way to the pier.
Private yacht or the ferry
A private yacht is booked for your group only. You pick the pier, the trip length and the morning or afternoon slot, and the day includes Koh Sak and a fishing stop as well as Koh Larn.
You do not share the deck, the swim stop or the time on board with anyone else.
Yachts that run the Koh Larn trip
These boats leave from the piers that run Koh Larn programmes. Bali Hai Pier boats can do 4 to 8 hours; Ocean Marina boats do the 8 hour trip.
Koh Larn trip prices
Prices are for the whole boat, not per person. A Koh Larn trip from Bali Hai Pier starts at ฿14,000 for 5 hours. From Ocean Marina, the 8 hour trip starts at ฿29,000.
Not included: the small boat transfer to the beach on Koh Larn, the 80 THB per person pier ticket at Ocean Marina, and diving, which costs extra.
Good to know before you go
- Be at the pier 15 minutes early. If you are late, the boat still returns to the pier on time.
- If you want to end the trip early, tell the crew on board.
- Do not put paper in the toilet. The fine is 3,000 THB.
- Damage to the yacht is charged.
- In bad weather the captain can change the plan for your safety.
- Diving costs extra.
